The Faculty of Vocational Education was founded by order of the rector S.N. Ankuda on the 1st of April, 2011. The faculty consists of four chairs: the Chair of Computer Science (Informatics), the Chair of Economics and Management, the Chair of Radioelectronics and the Chair of Social Studies and Humanities.
The Faculty of Vocational Education provides training of specialists with higher education on a full-time and correspondence basis in the specialty 1-08 01 01 Vocational Education (in the following areas)
1-08 01 01-02 Vocational Education (Radioelectronics). Qualification: Teacher-Engineer.
1-08 01 01-07 Vocational Education (Computer Science (Informatics)). Qualification: Teacher- Programmer.
1-08 01 01-08 Vocational Education (Economics and Management) Qualification: Teacher- Economist.
Graduates of the Faculty get their qualification according to the profile of the specialty, which allows them to provide teaching in general vocational and special disciplines at vocational training educational establishments, to work in the position of masters of production learning, in the laboratories and workshops of industrial enterprises as engineers, workshop masters, and also to carry out scientific researches, problem-analytical and administrative-managerial activities.
The Dean's office is an administrative centre of managing the work of the faculty.
The Dean is at the head of the Dean's office and fulfils the functions of coordinating and administrative support of the studying process, records management. The Dean's office is a connecting link between the chairs, rectors, other departments and offices of the college and students. Training at the Faculty is provided both on a full-time and correspondence basis.
The full term of studying is 5 years. Studying is provided on the basis of general secondary education. Students are admitted according to the results of Centralized Testing.
Term of studying is 4 years. Training is provided on the basis of secondary special education. Admission is carried out according to the results of Centralized Testing and internal examination.
Specialists of this qualification are trained to provide teaching of radiotechnical disciplines at educational establishments of vocation training as teachers, masters of production learning, they also can work in laboratories and workshops of industrial enterprises as engineers and workshop masters.
A teacher-engineer must possess high-level general theoretical, engineering, psychological, pedagogical and special training. A specialist must be able to apply the obtained knowledge for solving pedagogical, methodical, production, scientific and administrative problems..
Specialists of this qualification are trained as teachers of general technical and special disciplines at educational establishments of vocation training, as well as programmers in production associations, industrial enterprises and establishments.
A teacher-programmer must possess knowledge of modern and perspective IT (information technologies) software, must know and be able to apply methods and means of receiving, storing, processing and transmitting information on the base of modern computers and computer networks. A specialist must be able to apply obtained knowledge for solving pedagogical, methodical, production, scientific and organizational problems.
Specialists of this qualification are trained to provide teaching of economic disciplines at educational establishments of vocation training, to get employment as economists in associations, organizations and institutions of radioelectronic industry.
A teacher-economist must know the laws of economic development, the basics of marketing, forms of accounting and record-keeping, analysis of economic activities, business documentation, material and technical resources, forms of business relationship, production management, the organization of commerce and individual business, regulations of foreign economic affairs, information technologies.
Training of teachers-engineers, teachers-programmers, teachers-economists is provided by professors and teachers of all departments and chairs of the college.
A number of academic, pedagogical and production practices are carried out so that students could obtain practical experience and skills.
The result of studying is a graduation project. This means that students carry out graduation projects in the areas of experimentation design, information software, scientific research and pedagogy.
